CARLIN CROSSING.
Everyone sowing oats. Grass has begun to grow. There has been considerable sickness lately but all are better now. The Center Alliance was !-e----organized last Thursday night with twenty-one members. Next meeting in two weeks. Rev. Vice w r as called to Fair Oaks last Friday to preach the funeral of Mrs. Hodge. Thos. Brusnahan had a barn raising last Tuesday. James Burns and N. Vice are each building small barns. Wm. Chilcote, one of D. B. Noweis’ tenants, has moved to Rensselaer. The property vacated will be occupied by a Mr. Lese, from Germany. Several of the neighbors have been shipping horse radish to the Chicago market with good financial results. P. A. Gant, the recent teacher at Rose Bud, has returned to the Valparaiso normal. Sabbath school officers for current quarter were elected at Rose Bud Sunday. Circle.
