HANGING GROVE.
Miss Ella Hanley closed a very successful term of school at Banta last Friday. Mr. Albert Farmer also closed his school on the same date. The Hanging Grove graduating exercise will be held at the Osborne school house April 14. There are three graduates, Miss Eve Kenton and the two Messrs Lee. Mr. William Kpnton will move on the Linville farm at Lee, Ind. Mr. Fritz Zard, Jr. and family visited his parents at Marlboro last Sunday. Quite a crowd of young people from Zard spent a verypleasant evening with Miss Ada Wood last Sunday. Mr. Daniel Robinson has gone to Chicago to accept a good position for the summer. Frank Phillips, of Chicago, was the guest of his brother, John R. Phillips, of Marlboro, last Saturday and Sunday. Miss Eve Kenton was tho guest of Miss Hattie Eldridge last week.
The Marlboro Dramatic Co. gave a matinee last Sunday evening. William Eldridge killed three wild geese last Saturday at two shots. Our pastures and meadows are growing green and our farmers have begun their honest toil in the fields and gardens. Our maidens have donned their calico dresses and bonnets. Spring again is here with many a hearty welcome. The supply of milk to the creamery at Marlboro still increases. Erastus Winter, whose house and contents burned some time ago, has received the insurance on his household goods. Mr. Alfred Thompson will erect a new house in the near future. Willie, the eldest son of Chas. Bussel, is very dangerously sick with congestion of the brain. Mr. Thomas, of Monon, was the guest of Miss Effie Gwin last Sunday.
