SURREY.

Quarterly meeting at Vaughn, beginning on Friday evening, April 7th, and continues overSunday. The A. C. F. will have a program for Sunday evening. Every one invited. Walt Ponsler visited with Simon Kenton on Easter Sunday, but Mrs. Kenton not being at home, they had to fry eggs and eat their own cooking. Simon Kenton would like to have the post office at Surrey, but is very timid about asking for it.

It has been reported that several parties from Rbnsselaer have been personally interviewing Congressman Hammond in regard to the post office at Rensselaer. Pshaw! what is the use to bother about it. Whatever is to be, will be, any way. Joe Rowen is on the sick list with lung fever. Jessie Lang is said to have the diptheria. Vic Webb, of the Chicago Bargain Store, spent Easter at Surrey. He was looking after eggs and fresh air. Good weather* for sowing oats and everybody busy. Several pieces of wheat will be plowed under and sowed in oats or corn.
