Sleighing is fine. Mr. Chas. Odam has been very busy the past week packing ice for summer. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Robinson, of Monon, were the guests of Mr. Harve Robinson Sunday. Mr. Ward Hamilton and wife, of lowa, were visiting the family of A. P. Rockwell last week. Protracted meeting still continues at Independence with 30 accessions. Bro. Wiley knows how to conduct revival services. Several of the Gillam people attended quarterly meeting at Medaryville and heard Presiding Elder Wilson deliver an able sermon. His text being, “And the same time there arose no small stir about that -way.”— Acts. 19-23. There will be a “Hoosier” supper and entertainment at the Glen Dale school house Friday evening, Jan. 27 th. Admission 10 cents. Everydody invited. The proceeds to be used for purchasing Young People’s Reading Circle books. Ruggins.
