New York, Jan. IS.—The annual election of the Union League club, which occurred Monday evehing. was a very quiet affair. There was only one ticket in the field. The newlyelected officers are: President, Horace Porter; vice presidents, Whitelaw Reid,, William H. Webb, Elihit Root, .Albert H. secretary, John Van Woriner; triiashrer, George Montague. * When the result had been announced Chauncey M.
