And there came a time In the Great Land when the Poohbaha
on the Potomao felt there waa a stirring- of unrest amonf the people with many believing
that the great
god that had been created, called U. S. Treasury, could not solve all problems. a So forthwith the Poohbahs
brought bad
into being a
god of a still more ancient peoples that pne time lived on the River Tiber. This ancient god, called Janus, had ; two heads with each head looking in opposite directions. And because the ancient peoples never displayed Janus in times of peace, but only in times of war, the Poohbahs therefore declared a War on Poverty. And thus it came Into beta that with one head Janua proclaimed to all the land that ticcr before had there been such great prosperity, whilst the other head shouted equally as loud never before had so much poverty afflicted the Great Lauil. .. And the peoples of the Great Land thought this wondrous 6lraiihe indeed, and wont about their business. a I But it so heppcred at tlils ,

wished to bring down on each other fire and brimstone to win
the straggle in this manner, a a a So they were both engaged In a mighty effort of gelling, which was a term used when there was a system that was called free enterprise. And the Poohbahs of the Great Land had taken from their peoples billions upon billions of dollars to give away to the undecided people to convince them that their way was best. The Ivans of the Dark
Land preached to all the peoples that the only way to prosperity and peace for all was to follow their way.
Now It so happened the Ivans
of the Dark Land were not as
scrupulously honest as the
Poohbahs of the Great Land,
and they only talked about what one head of god Janus
said.
And thus the Ivans through
out the world heralded tliet
one-fifth or more of the peoples In the Great Land were living In dire poverty, and thrs t'.ic system used in the Great Land could not possibly be any good.
' And these undecided peoples
listened in wonderment, "How does it happen," they asked each other, "If the system of the Great Land is so great, they ha e gone to War on Pov
erty?" And they henceforth decided the thing they needed least was more poverty. And that is how the whole world finally was, to use a word now extinct, sold, by the Ivans of the Dark Land, and communism became the system amongst all peoples throughout the world.
