, Actually In the Wolcott Public School the administrator and the teachers alike know quite well what's going on In the science department and they heartily approve. There has been . a great awakening of interest in science Bince our new science laboratory was put in operation a year ago. Its effect upon secondary science teaching was felt immediately. This year Its influence is filtering down into the grades. Mr. Christopher has scheduled a 20 minute science clans in our new laboratory for grades one through six once a week. From this keyteacher's work and the coopat ion of the grade teachers and the curiosity and fresh eagerness of the grade children themselves has come new life in the teaching of elementary cience at Wolcott. I). T. 8.
The second lesson on Teach
ling Children Responsibility
was very well given by Rose Wilson. She gave points on Guiding Our Youth Today, teaching them responsibility, the ability to go it alone, selfreliance, truthfulness and belief in God, stressing their need for love at all times. A safety lession on Food Sanitation and Food Poisoning was given by Adeline Ma-
thew. Poinsonlng can be carried by germs developing at low temperatures. Cleanliness is also very important as well as refrigeration. Delicious refreshments in keeping with the season were served by the hostesses. The December meeting will be the Christmas party at the Wolcott House.
