WOLCOTT SCHOOL NEWS By Coleen Clauss Captain Paul Dry presented a lecture on his twenty years of sea duty to the students on Tuesday. Captain Dry has made five trips around the world and has visited fiftyfour countries. He displayed much equipment of seagoing vessels and told about his life as a Merchant Marine Captain. The Librarians' Club is sponsoring a book fair with books for both high school and elementary grades. Books will be on sale during National Book Week, November 4-8.

Wolcott Chapter of Sunshine Society will serve their

annual chili supper November 5th. Serving will start at 5:30 p. m. Tickets will be gold for adults 75c, and children 35c. Thirty-two members were accompanied by the Sunshine sponsor, Mrs. Marie Byers, to Northwestern High School for the District SSS convention, Saturday, October 12th. The Juniors' magazine sales will begin Thursday, October 24th. The class has switched from the Curtis Publishing Co., to the Look Publishing

Company.

Walter McColly wishes to remind taxpayers of White County of the deadline on . the fall taxes, November 4, midnight of the 4th is the last date to pay your County taxes without penalty. If you are paying by mail please send in your blue tax statement along with your check and a stamped addressed envelope for your return of the Paid tax receipt. If paying at the office bring in the blue tax statement. The Treasurer's office will

be open from 8:00 a. m. to 4:00 p. m. Monday through Friday (including the noon hour) and Saturday morning, November 2nd until noon, also November 4th until 5:00 p. m. for the convenience of the public. Following the usual procedure the office will then be closed to the public until Monday, November 18, for the purpose of certifying the collection to the White County Auditor for distribution.
