Much has been said about the honesty and skill of the Chinese business man. The world has neglected to mention the financial ability of Chinese women. They proved this ability in the last financial campaign of the I'. W C. A. in Tientsin. Ordinarily three weeks are allowed in which to raise the budget by subscription after the finance committee has decided upon the sum necessary to carry on the work of the coming year. The Tientsin campaign was carried on entirely by Chinese women and broke all records by going over the top in ten days with a large surplus over the budget. ,0 O Q

, 1 si V: BROWN'S CORNER. Chester Hartwell had an accident Saturday evening while at the depot at Scipio. He left his lady friend to hold the horse while he went to the train and when the train began to move the horse became frightened, while the girl jumped from the buggy and the horse started home. When found the horse had the buggy upset and her head just above the water. Nothing was damaged but Chester was pretty badly scared. There is not a very large attendance here at Sunday school and we want to extend a cordial invitation to all.
