Lindsey died of catarrhal pneuiaoaia on the naorning of the 16th. The funeral tervices were conducted by Rev. F. M. Symms, at the M. E. Church, on Saturday evenlsg, the l?th. He leaves a wife, two infant children, and a number of relatives to mourn their loss. We see the present Legislature wants to "throw us out of the union," for judicial purposes. We hope the bill will be defeated, as it will be very inconvenient to have to go to Corydon ot Leavenworth. Beside this, we don't feel disposed to'swap off Judge Wi'son for any one. The shot-gun and broom-stick wedcame off last Sinday morning. The parties married were George 'Quarterman and Susan Sally. This wedding has been contemplated by the parties for fo'm'e time,' but the "old fclks" being opposed to the match, the young; lady had to wait until a way was made for her escape. Last Saturday night, she being at John Mahans, Gaorre, with tw others, went out in buggy, .hitch ed their horse, and went on the porch, ad as scCii as the girl heard them she darted aut from the supper table like an arrow, bare headed and without any shawl, and was in the buggy on short notice. The yell was then given by George Fish , to Mr. Sally, who' lived only k short distance. He, with two or three others, came and overtook them. Someshots were exchanged, but, no one seriously hurt. They came to Orleas all safe and "right side up with car," and were married last Sunday morning, by !tef. Henry S. Talbott. Hal. B. J.
