Among the performers I think the honors are due Mbs3 Lulu L.aughlin,the accomplished daughter of Dr. E. D. Laughliu, in her rendition of a beautiful ballad entitled "Mother and I've been Waiting." Ben. Prather, in the character of Guzzle, was also a favorite of the audience, his appearance being the signal for applause and that time honored bore, the small boy's whistle. Some of the performers labored under severe disadvantages, one in particular having to carry his own and another part. Taking it all to gether, the performance was very ,POH;t.,Ki f r . The Church of Christ, at Suth Liberty, is in a prosperous condi tion. On the 17th ult. Brother E. li. Wright preached tour dis courses, with three additions to the church. On the 19th Brother A. R. Lomax, on his way home from a preaching tour, preached for u and continued the meetings until the 26th with increased interest, and two additions to the church the last night. The number added to the church from the 10th to the 2Gth was twenty-one. The breth ren and sisters have enjoyed another glorious season together, and the good seed the gospel has sown will be as bred cast upon the Wa ters, that It may be gathered up many days hence. Bro. Lomax is an earnest and warm worker in the caue of his Lord and Master. May the Lord bless and preserve him and enable him by grace diine to still proclaim His word. Elder Levi Smith.
