We would be pleased to "see the citizens of Orleans take more interest in the temperance question than thoy do. RAT KS OF TAXES ON IXGS. For one male dog over six months old. $1; for each additional doir, S2; for each female dog, 2. After the 15th day of December, 1875, the Auditor is required by law to advertise real estate for all unpaid tines for 1875 and for former years, to which will be added the taxes of ly7l, which sale shall occur on the .second Morn day of February, 1877, unless paid before that time. Each taxpayer may pay the full amount of his taxes on or before the third Monday in April. 1877, or'rnayj nt his option, pay One-half thereof, with the whole of his read tax, and the remaining one-half, less the road tax, on or before th 1st day of November following, but upon failure to pay they first one-half by said third Monday in April, then the whole tax becomes delinquent, and a penalty of ten per cent, is added, and the Treasurer is required by law, after that date, to proceed to collect such delinquent taxes and costs and charges that may accrue by distress and sale of property, it necessary Bring your road receipts when yon come to pay your taxes, as they will not be redeemed after the third Monday in April. If vou are liable to pay taxes in more than one township mention that fact to the Treasurer, as a separate receipt is gien for each township. Examine your receipts before leaving the office and see if they include all your property No county order will be paid or endorsed in the name of nuy person owing delinquent taxes. Taxpayers will find it greatly to their advantage not to pnt ofF tax payin until the last two or js.ree clays of time, and those that have their tax complicated, such as undivided estates, &c.., are especially requested to call when we are at leisure, as it requires considerable time to make the divisions and separate receipts.
