Died- At Orleans, Jan. ?, 1877, at 7 o'clock, at the residence of her daughter, Mr. Nancy It. Johnson, wife of Lancelott Johnson, in her 77th year. She was Oorn in Virginia and came to Indiana in 1815. She was a member of the Stamperscreek Baptist church; was converted in her fifteenth year. Th grand jury now in session is composed of the following gentlemen: Sam. A, Lindiey, Perry C. Johnson, Andrew J. AMe, Peter Wolf, Wm. Ivendall and Moses Roncrts. Perry C. Johnson is foreman. Judge Frank Wilson, assignee of Moore & Spicely, of Orleans, w ill make a distribution of the assets iti his hands among the creditors ol that firm, during tne present term of court. We do not yet know what per cent, he will pay. Judge Pearson and Prosecutor Miers reached here Monday after,, noon and since then luva each been at their posts. The business before the coilrt is much less than usual and it is not probable that the term will continue beyond the middle of next week. Wm. Richards, of New Orleans, was In town and called to see us yesterday. Mr. Richards was called home tin account of tin death of his father, Mr. Croel Richards, late ol Orleans. He leaves again to-day lor New Orleans. Elsewhere will be found twoseveral articles n reference to the Orleans school matter. While we regret t he controversy, we propose to give both sides a chance to be heard and then we hope the matter will drop. Mr. T. N. Mathers, of Orange, ville township, was in town yesterday afternoon and this morning, attending court. He surrounded Lost river to get hre, and it took him all day to it.
