in(t of stones, hrlck tats,and clubs at bouses and fences, and otherwise to prevent and prohibit injury to property within the city of Madaaon. Skc. 1. Be it ordained by the Common Council of the city of Madison, That if any person shall throw stones, brick-bats, clubs, or other bard substance, at, into, or against any dwelling-bouse, store-house, out-house, or any other building, or against any fenee within the corporate limits of the city of Madison, shall, upon conviction thereof, pay to tbe city of Madison any sum not exceeding fifty dollars. Sac. . That if any person shall wilfully or maliciously deface, destroy, or pull down, or otherwise damage or injure any sign or sign-board, awning, or other property of a similar description, attached to any publie or private huildiflu, store house, ware-house, :or other building, or suspended over Hie side-walks, of the city of Madison, or shall wilfully or mallciounly injure or destroy any water-spoufon any building, such person shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in any sum not exceeding fiity dollars.

AN ORDINANCE To amand an ordinance, entitled

"An Ordinance relating to the markets," passed January, 25. 1849. Sac. 1. Be it ordained by the Common Council of the city of Madison, That the 10th lection of the Ordinance to which this i an amendment, be, and the same is hereby amended, so that the minimum price of all stalls inside of the Main street market house shall be fixed at ten dollars per year, and that the minimum price of all stalls iifide of the Broadway market-house shall be fixed at eight dollars per year. Sac. 2 That the 14th section of said ordinance be so amended as that any ttall within either of said markethouses shall revert to the e if the person or persons renting it shall neg ect or refu e to supply such stalls with good fresh meat, or such other marketing as he or they usually keep and offer for sale in said market-house, for the space of ten market days, at such market-house, and no excuse, after the expiration of the ten days aforesaid, shall entitle the delinquent to the further use of said stall.
