How Last Lord's Day was Observed at Cambridge Citj.
On last Sabbath, as was advertised to our people, was the day upon which the corner stone of the new Catholic church at Cambridge was to belaid. Tn accordance with previous arrangements excursion trains were run into the city upon all roads centering there. This, ot course, brought largo crowds of people to participate in and witness the ceremonies. The programme of the day was nicely carried out as far as the church and the strict members thereof were concerned, and was very interesting, It seemed, to all those who went for an honorable and reputable purpose. As is common upon all such occasions, however, a large number of rowdies gather, at which time they expect, and do, enjoy themselves in their own natural way and cliami-d, and last Sabbath was no exception, liei.ee, while the corner stone was being laid in the presence of hundreds, the above class were spending the day in a different manner. In the town was a house called the "Morgan Kauche," which wa3 the resort and reiidczvon of the lowest and most disreputable prostitutes that ever disgraced the name or lame of Cam-

The liou.e where the murder was perpetrated, had an infamous notoriety nil over the country as a house of prostitution which, in defiance of law, and in spite of one or two attempts to snrpress it, has disgraced our community for the past several years. It is the same house which Luther Benson visited, ard where be pretended to have been drugged and robbed two year3 ago before be had se completely succeeded, cs he has since done, in establishing for himself the reputation of a humbug and a dead leat. For the past two years, it has lcen ns widely known, as much and almost as publicly frequented by persons from abroad and at home, ns any house of entertainment in Cam bi id go city. Nor Is this the lirst deed of violence that has been perpetrated there. The Morgans father and son are desperate characters, and the bouse was a magazine of firearms.
