THESE Medicines have now been before the public for a period of THIRTY YEARS, and during that time have maintained a high character in al st every part of the Globe, for their extraordinary and immediate power of rehealth to nearly eve ame is liable. The following are among the distressing variety of human diseases in which the Are well known to be infallible: DYSPEPSIA, by thoroughly cleansing the first and second stomachs, and creating a flow of pure, healthy bile, instead of the acrid kind ; Flatulency, Loss of Appetite, Heartburn, Headhe, Restlessness, Ill-temper Anxiety, Languor, and Melancholy, which are the general symptoms of Dyspepsia, will vanish, as a natural consequence of its cure. COSTIVENESS, by cleansing the whole length of the intestines with a solvent process, and without violence; all violent purges leave the bowels costive within two days. FEVERS of all kinds, by restoring the blood to a regular circulation, through the process of respiration in such cases, and the thorough solution of all intestinal obstruction in others. The life medicines have been known to cure RHEUMATISM permanently in three weeks, and GOUT in half that time, by removing local inflammation from the muscles and ligaments of the joints. DROPSIES of all kinds, by freeing and strengthening the bladder; they operate most delightfully on these important organs, and hence have ever been found a certain remedy for the worst cases of GRAVEL. Also WORMS, by dislodging from the turnings of the bowels the slimy matter to which these creatures adhere. SCURVY, ULCERS, and INVETERATE SORES, by the perfect purity which these Life Medicines give to the blood, and all the humors. The experience of thousands daily proves that no preparation of Iron can be compared with it. Impurities of the blood, depression of vital energy, pale end otherwise sickly complexions indicate its oecersity in almost, every conceivable case. Innoxious in all maladies in which it has been tried. it has proved absolutely eurative in each of the following complaints, viz: In Debilety, Nervous Affections, Emaciations, Dyspepsia, Copstipation, Diarrhea, Dysentery, Incipient Consumption, Scrofulcus Tuberculosis, Salt Rheum, Mismenstruation, Whites, Chlorosis, ergy from chronrestorative has hich no descripd render credible. n as to have become hborhoods, have sudn the busy world as if just reprotracted travel in a foreign land. al instances of this kind are attestrers, emaciated victims of appamus, sanguineous exhaustion, critical changes, and that complication of nervous and dyspeptic aversions to air and exercise for which the physician has no name. In Nervous Affections of all kinds, and for reasons familiar to medical men, the operation of this preparation of iron must necessarily be salutary, for, unlike the old oxides, it is vigorously tonic, without being exciting and overheating; and gently, regularly aperient, even in the most obstinate cases of costiveness, without ever being a gastric purgative, or inflicting sensation. a disagreeable It is this latter property, among others, which makes it so remarkably effectual and permanent a remedy for Piles, upon which it also appears to exert a distinct and specific action, by dispersing the local tendency which forms them. In Dyspepsia, innumerable as are its causes, a single box of these Chalybeate Pills often sufficed for the most habitual cases, including the attendant Costiveness. In unchecked Diarrhoea, even when advanced to Dysintery, confirmed, emaciating, and apparently malignant, the effects have been equally decisive and astonishing. In the local pains, loss of flesh, and strength, debilitating cough, and remittent hectic, which generally indicate incipient Consumption, this eemely has allayed the alarm of friends, and physicians, in several very gratifying aud interesting instances. In Scrofulous Tuberculosis, this medicated iron has had the more than the good effect of the the mest cautiously balanced preparations cf Iodine, without any of their well known liabilities. The attention of females cannot be too confidently invited to this remepy and restorative, in the cases peculiarly afflicting to them. In Rheumatism, both chronic and inflamatory, --in the latter, however, more decidedly-- it has been invariably well reported, both as alleviating hain and reducing the swelling and stiffness of the joints and muscles. In Intermittent fevers it must necessarily be a great remedy and energetic restorative, and its progress in the new settlements of the west, will probably be one of very high renown and usefulness. No remedy has ever been discovered in the whole history of medicine, which exerts prompt, happy and fully restorative cheers. Good appetite, complette digestion, rapid acquisition of strength, with an unusual disposition for active and cheerful exercise, immediately follow its use. Put up in neat flat metal boxes containing 50 palls, price 50 cents per box; for sale by druggists and dealers. Will be sent to any address on receipt of the price. the human family urbances of the bo e aid of a good to in common sense, th ly function; but, h t exercise ble so to ermanent be a late the system as to secure th. In order to accomplish th object, the true course to pursue is certainly that which will produce a natural state of things at least hazard of vital strength and the true course to pursue life. For this For d rpose, Dr. Hostetter has in- , which is not a new me y a prepar ation bearing icine, but one his name, en tried for years, giving satisfaction to all who have used it. The Bitters operate powerfully upon the stomach, bowels, and liver, restoring them to a healthy and rigorous action, and thus, by the simple process of strengthening nature, enable the system to triumph over disease. For the cure of Dyspepsia, Indigestion, Nausea, Flatulency, Loss of Appetite, or any Bilious Complaints, arising from a morbid inaction of the Stomach, or Bowels, producing Cramps, Dysentery, Colic, Cholera Morbus, &c., these Bitters have no equal. Diarrhoea, dysentery or flux, so generally contracted by new settlers, and caused principally by the change of water and diet, will be speedily regulated by a brief use of this preparation. Dyspepsia, a disease which is probably more prevalent, in all its various forms, than any other, and the cause of which may always be attributed to derangements of the digestive organs, can be cured without fail by using HOSTETTER'S STOMACH BITTERS, as per directions on the bottle. For this disease every physician will recommend Bitters of some kind; lible? All nations have their Bitters, as a preventive of disease and strengthener of the sysin general; and among them all there is not to be found a more healthy people than the Germans, from whom this preparation emanated, based upon scientific experiments which have tended to prove the value of this great preparation ia the scale of medical science. FEVER AND AGUE. This trying and provoking disease, which, fixes its relentless grasp on the body of man, reducing him to a mere shadow in a short time, and rendering him physically and mentally useless, can be driven from the body by the use of HOSTETTER'S RENOWNED BITTERS. Further, none of the above-stated diseases can be contracted, even in exposed situations, if the Bitters are used as per directions. And as they neither create nausea nor offend the palate, and render unnecessary any change of diet or interruption of ordinary pursuits, but promote sound sleep and healthy digestion, the complaint is removed as speedily as is consistent with the production of a thorough and permanent cure. For Persons in Advanced Years, who are suffering from an enfeebled constitution and infirm body, these Bitters are invaluable as restorative of strength and vigor, and need only be tried to be appreciated. And to a mother while nursing these Bitters are indis pensable, especially where the mothers nourishment is inadequate to the demands of the child, consequently her strength must yield, and here it is where a good tonic, such as Hostetter's Stomach Bitters, is needed to impart temporary strength and vigor to the system. Ladies should by all means try this remedy for all eases of debility, and, before so doing, should ask their physician, who, if he acquainted with the virtue of the Bitters, will recommend their use in all cases of weakness. CAUTION. We caution the public against using any of the many imitations or counterfeits, but ask for HOSTETTER'S CELEBRATED STOMACH BITTERS, and see that each bottle has the words "Dr. J Hostetter's Stomach Bitters" blown on the side of the bottle, and stamped on tho metallic cap covering the cork, and observe that our autograph signature is on the label. RHEUMATISM AND NEURALGIA! RHEUMATISM AND NEURALGIA! Can be speedily and permanently cured by using CROOKE'S ELECTRIC OIL. For the last few years a great many medicines have been ouered to the public, all purporting to be superior remedies; but certainly no one has ev er gained such undivided praise and support in so short a time as CROOKE,S ELECTRIC OIL!!! It is bound to rise and stand pre-eminent in the list of valuable remedies, and it will certainly be used when many of the nostrums now in vogue shall have fallen into everlasting obscurity. That it will cure every disease to which human flesh is heir, we do not pretend, but that it has unequaled powers in the relief and cure of Rheumatism, Neuralgia, &c. Is a fact which is proved by the evidence in it favor. In writing about a medicine, we are aware that we should write truth; that we should make no statements that cannot be proved, but we have the witnesses, crowds of them, who will testify in erms stronger than can be written, to the efficacy f this wonderful remedy who will testify that CROOKE'S ELECTRIC OIL Has done for them what all other remedies had failed to do.
