Chas. Wetdner of Quikertown and lady were visiting friends and relations in this city a few days of last week. D. Gibson of Liberty is making a specialty hats, and, has just received a full and complete stock all new styles. Colter in Oxford is the right man in

the right place. If he says he will sell cheap, rely upon it, he will keep his word. Ballinger, grocer, is now doing as large a business as ever, and all because Sam. has a fresh stock of goods and will not allow himself to be under sold. There is scarcely a day but we hear of persons making enquiry for houses, in our town, and the demand seems to in crease rather than diminish. Some thing ought to be done to remedy this defect. While we do not want to see houses so plenty that every other one will be vacant, we certainly should like to see them so plenty that all who want and need them and are willing to pog for them can be supplied.
