Again our hearts have been touched by the. saddling itilluetice of the hand of bereavement, softening our thoughts atidj impressing ujiou our minds the great lesson that we. too, are mortal, and bearing n rapid ilight to the ocean of eternity. The Angel of death has .again entered our Lodge, and we heard not the rustling of his wings, or the bound of his footsteps, neither spake he of the land beyond the horizon of time, but silently gathered in the harvest of death, our acred and much esteemed Prot!ier, Win. Feb. ind 1S70, t'-t the ripe age of four-score and two years, our Brother looked upward with the heavenly east in view, lor he had received the summons from the Grand Lodge above, and. it being within the first square of his work, he hastened to be clothed with the regalia of the shirs, when in the npper Shckinah, the Grand Master of the universe lias lifted the seal of secrecy from his lips, ami the veil of time has been rolled to our sides, displaying to his wondering vision the glories of the inner Temple, rtulinnt with beauty, and the unspeakable grandcur of the presence of the Great I Am. Blessed, thrice blessed be the memory of our aged Brother who has passed through the western porta!, we trust, to rue again in the east, and so be ever with the Grand 3Iasler of eternity.
