Married. On Monday, August 3d, by Rev. B. F. Cole, Mr. Charles E. Perkins to Miss Eliza A. Crawford, all of this place. Our (us printers) appetites were keenly sharpened when we heard of this wedding. Thought certainly a nice large cake would be sent the 'Knife.' However, if there was no cake fotch us, we were not entirely forgotten by the bridal party.
(r By a telegraphic dispatch we learn that Gen. Rusk, of Texas, has committed suicide by shooting himself through the head with a rifle. The General was a U. S. Senator from that Gtate, and one of the most prominent members of the Democratic party.
