If such a law could be enforced we would i be in favor of quaking it a penitentiary j offense to carry coucealed weapous. Mur-1 ders are becoming too numerous in this J comiaunitv. It is indeed a hire |jking for a term of court to pass in which one or more persons are not tried for murder. We believe the best way to prevent these numerous disgraceful affairs is to go to the root of the evil which is the carry ing of revolvers and large knives. No one is going to carry a rifle or a shot gun around with him in order to be “loaded for" an enemy, and if carrying revolvers or knives is made a penitentiary offense people will be incliued to settle their differences peaceably .—Pete rsbu rg Press. The Democrat fully eiftorses the above. Such a law would have a good effeetspn the morals of this community or any otter section of the state.
