R clmrch at 10 o’clock a. m. Tuesday, March Sit, where a large number of loving friends met to pay the lest tribute of respect to one who had lived among them for half a century. Mrs. Frank was boro in Virginia. At the age of five years she removed with her father to Kentucky, when she lived until grown; thence she came to Indiana and settled in Pike county, where she made her home until her death. February 0, 1850, she was marre d to 8. P. Frank (deceased.) Six children of the family survive her, Morris, Madison and McKindrey Frank, Mrs. Iou Gosi n, Mrs. Ettie Smith and George Frank, the last two hang her own children. Sister Frank was brought up in a Clxristian home, be - father being a Methodist preacher, and m a result she was converted when but a little child, and joined the church of her choice. We can truly say Iter life has been spent in the service of Goth For more thm fifty years she has faithfully served the church by her means and her prayers and when unable longer to attend the house >f God because of her infirmity, she never ixwt interest in the church. She leaves a legacy to her children that is mom valuab le than gold, and the halo of her fadeless at d pure life will be more beautiful than ill the adornments of wealth or display, Jler disposition was of that modest,, retiring kind, that shone brightest in her home and in her ministering* among the sick anil poor. For more than two years I have Ken her pastor and during all of that time i be has been afflicted, but she was always tnxious to be Iwlpful to her pastor and to the ihurch and most always asked about the thatch. She has been a subscriber to the V estern Christian Advocate many years an d kept herself posted in the work of the church. She was a Methodist and belie ved in the doctrine of her church and undmtood what they meant, and how to appl r them to her comfort and rest in tlie Lord. Already methinks I hear the Master say “Servant of God well done, receive thy crown of rejoicing, thy robe oi. white and thy palm of victory," \ S- R AXBKI KWf.

The crime of burglary its set fogth in the statute books cj Indiana makes that crime next to murders The crime is a very grave one and justice should be meted out to all who will break in a house at night time. The verdict .should be upheld by every law-abiding citizen in Pike county and show to the midnight prowlers that the laws of the state and of the homes must be upheld and enforce!. Juries of Pike county have become very lenient in fixing setvUmoss of men who commit crimes and our county has 'become known all over the country as one where atrocious crimes are committed, and the party doing the deed is acquitted or given but a short sentence.
