We organized one here iu March, and have bceu holding regiar meetings since the organization. It was begnn with but few members, but the membership is growing rapidly, and now there nru about wcuty-flve active members. Through the kindness ot the I. O. O..Fi lodge, of this place, they have granted us the use of tht; hall. The programmes with oue or two exceptions have been carried out iu lull. At the last meeting in April, the prog ram me,consisting of singing, I dialogues, Essays, declamations, and debate, was ably carried out; and all j present seemed to enjoy the work. 1 Especially the song by our President, S. W. Chappell, as all wh o have heard the musical modulations of his voice realize that: “Music bath charms to sooth a savage, 1!
