Remember that the county fair will be held next week, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday It is now certain that the number of entries will be much larger this year than ever before in fact, the number of entries now exceeds that of any previous year. TI12 prospects are in every way flattering for an excellent display. A number of fast horses will be on hand to do NM sharp trotting cn the second and third days. Ylitual Declaration of War against Prussia-Surrender of Strasbourg. lntense excitement was created in the diplomatii circles in London, yesterday, by the reception at the foreign office of ä note from Russia, savin- that the expansion of th.3 bound ries if! i u i t, . ...f... : Prussia compelled her to interiere in I the present straggle ; that Pruasia had j constantly and persistently violated her j treaties; that to the remonstrance of the ' other powers she gave but insolence, and , that now she h;:d openly avowed her t- - r-f Avar on r ranee to he ne ol conquest, ,

Tonight it was open)) slft'ed by an attache of the Russian legation, in the presence of the Russian minister, that fhe movement in Turkey was a Rdnt, and that 400.000 drops were now massed on the Prussian frontier. Lord Clarendon, when asked to-ni :ht the effect of the Russian note, replied that it was equivalent to an official notification tint Kussia had deelared war against Prussia. It is announced that Strrsl o irg surrendered at 7 o'clock on Monday last. Probably the meanest trick which the Republican lealcrs have attempted to play, is the one wherein they hope to deceive the people by comparing Grant's (a Republican) administration, with Johnson's ('a Democratic") adminis-j t ration. Papers and speakers that w ill deliberately make a statcnient which a 1 any man with a thimble full of brains I knows to be totally devoid of troth, must be hard up for something to Bay. They elected Johnson, and lilied every office in the government, and because they and one of their officer?
