This oil is procured from a boring in solid rock, at the depth of 185 feet, near Burksvilie, Kentucky. We have not had an opportunity of j testing its properties to any great extent. 1 but from the favorable notices we have ' r Ä i:: . i iseen of its medicinal qualities, are inclin-1 , , ,. ... ed to believe that it is a very valuable J medicine. It is called Nature's otvs Remedy, from the fact that i: is ready for use as soon as taken from the earth; and does not need to go through the hands of a Druggist to be prepared. After seeing it tested, we will be better prepared to speak of it. There is some of it for sale at this oflice. N R. ParUrd Ar Pr,

Catholicism is waning in Europe, the Pope is in dread he beholds the movements of the powers of earth, and he ; cannot fail to see that if Europe becomes submerged in deadly strife, his days are numbered, consequently it is not to be wondered at that he should be sendin" forces to the United Statts, to prepare for a deriner r r-sort.
