The Standard Oil Company have got their oil tanks ready for business and unloaded two car loads of gasoline and kerosene yesterday. Out of a bunch of horses exhibited by E. E. Swiger. at the Steuben County Fair at Angola, he was fortunate enough to carry away 5 first premiums » n< 3 two seconds. Harry Beers and wife, Mrs. M. Watters and daughter, Marie, , motored to Detroit last week and visited Urban Jones and family. While there Mr. Beers and wife and Marie took dinner with Harry Jackman and wife. \ Those who went from here to the Angola fair Thursday afternoon and Friday expecting to see the air ship go up were disappointed as Smith broke his engine in the forenoon flight and was unable to get it fixed in time to go up. We now have a cement walk clear to the depot excepting a small stretch right up town, and we understand that is to be built yet this fall. Perry McKibben and Seymour Collins have just finished building in front of their lots. Let the good work go on.
