Section i. be it enacted by THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE state of Indiana, That whoever shoots or destroys, or pursues for ,1 the purpose of shooting or destroy- ■' ing, or has in his or her possession any quail, ruffed grouse, prai- * | he chicken, or pinnated grouse, or at any day from the first day of January of any year to the tenth ; day of November of the same yjir, or whoever shoots or kills more than twenty-four quail in any one , day shall be deemed guilty of a : misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined ten (xo) y dollars for each quail, ruffed grouse, prairie chickeq;or pinnated grouse so shot of de stroyed, pursued, or had in his or her ; possession, to which may be added imprisonment in the county jail for any period not to exceed ten days.
Sec. 2. Whoever sells, dr offers for sale directly or indirectly, at any time, any quail, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined ten (to) dollars for each quail sold or offered for sale, to which may be added imprisonment in die county jail for a period not to exceed ten days.
Sec,> 3 It shall be unlawful for any railroad company, express ! cyurpatty, en outlet treat mdn ciffieVr or otiier person or persons to transport, take or carry, or receive for the purpose of transporting, taking or carrying beyond the limits of this State, any wild deer, buck, doe or fawn, any (Juail (except as provided in Section 13 of this act), ruffed grouse, pinnated grouse, prairie chicken, woodcock, wild turkey, any ringneck pheasant, any English pheasant, Mongolian pheasant, green Japanese phoasant, copper pheasant, silver pheasant, golden pheasant, or pheasant of any kind or species.' Any railroad company, express company or other common carrier, or other person or persons violating any of the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined one hundred dollars for e ch such wild deer, buck, doe or fawn transported, taken or carried or received for the purpose of transportation, taking or carrying beyond the limits of this State; fifty (30) dollars for each ringneck pheasant, English pheasant, Mongolian pheasant, green Japanese pheasant, copper pheasant, silver pheasant, golden pheasant, or pheasant of any species or kind, or wild turkey so transported, taken or carried beyond the limits of this State, and ten (10) dollars for each quail ruffed grouse, pinnated grouse, prairie chicken or woodcock transported, taken or carried or received for the purpose of trans porting, taking or carrying beyond the limits of this State,

Sec. 6. Whoever shouts or destroy [s], or pursues for die purpose of shooting or destroying, or has in his or her possession, any wild dove at any time from the first day of January of am year to the fifteenth day of August of the same year, and from the first day of October to the tenth day of November of any year shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall fined ten (to) dollars for each wild dove so shot or destroyed, pursued or had in his or her possession, to which may be staled imprisonment in the. county jail for any period not to exceed t n days.
Sec. 7. Whoever shoot, or destroys or pursues for 'the'purpose of shooting or destroying has in his or her possession, dear or alive except for breeding purposes, any wild deer, buck, doe or fa"n, wild turney, or any ringneck pleasant. sec. 9. W hoever hunts or shoots song birds or any specie of game with any kind of firearms on the first day of the week, commonly called Sunday, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor aad upo conviction thereof, shall be hired not less than ten (10) no more than [50] dollars.

That it shall be unlawful to hunt with dog and shotgun, and any and all kinds of game at any time from October first of any year to November tenth of the same year, except as provided in section 11 of this act. It shall be lawful lor any person to hunt, shoot, or destroy or have in his possession squirrels, wild duck and other water fowls from*the first of October to the tenth of November of any year; provided, That any person desiring to do so shall first secure a permit from the Commissioner of Fisheries and Game; It shall be [the] duty of such' Commissioner to issue such permit free of charge upon the application of any reputable pefson who is a resident of Indiana, or to any nonresident who has secured a hunting license, as required in section 130! this act. Any person semiring such permit shall . have the same hi his possession at any time when he is hunting, ready to exhibit the same to the Commissioner of Fisheries aqd Game or any of Ids deputies. Any one found guilty of violating the provisions of this section shall be fined in any sum not less than five [5] dollars nor more than twenty-five [25] dollars.
