The Bill authorising the qualified Electors of each Township to elect Township officers, was postponed indefinitely. Ayes 26. Noes 10. Saturday, Dec. 8. Mr. David G. Mitchell, a member elected from the county of Harrison in the place of John N. Dunbar, dec'd appeared and took his seat. Mr. Prince, from the Judiciary committee, reported a Bill to authorise a call session of the Circuit Courts in certain cases, which was read and passed to a seccond reading. Mr. Powell, from the committee on that subject, reported a Bill for a road from the Town of Aurora to the town of Napolean, which was read and passed to a second reading. Mr. Merrill, introduced a bill to amend the act regulating the Incorporation of Towns, which was read and passed to a second reading.

TAKEN up by George Lewis, of Logan Township, Dearborn Countv, Indiana, a BRIGHT BAY MARE, 14 1.2 hands high, supposed to be 8 years old, blind of the left eye, shod before, a saddle mark on each side of his back, and a small white spot on the near side of his neck near the shoulder, tail bobbed, and her mane has the appearance of being hogged; appraised to 13 dollars by John Lilly and Andrew B. Whereas two several writs of Domestic Attachment, issued from the office of the undersigned, a Justice ol the Peace for the county aforesaid, on the 10th day of November last, against the goods and chattels, rights, credits, monies and effects of Edward Riggs, (late a resident of said county) an absconding debtor, at suit of William Root, upon two several notes of hand, due and payable to him by the said Edward Riggs; one for the sum of forty dollars and twenty five cents, due upon the 15th day ol June, 1821; the other for the sum of twenty dollars, due on the 5th day of August, 1821 ; upon which writs the Constable made return, I have attached in the hands of Frederick Utz and Andrew Armstrong, a quantity of manufactured Tobacco, supposed of the value of 80 dollars; Notice is
