Panthers crush Memorial 49-6 to improve to 7-0

NAPPANEE - Bronson Yoder continued his epic senior season with 219 yards rushing and three touchdowns, and returned an interception for a fourth score as the Qass 4A #2-ranked North Wood Panthers hammered Elkhart Memorial 49-6 in Northern Lakes Conference action. The Panthers then broke the game open in the third period, starting with a 55-yard interception return TD by Yoder and following with a pair of offensive scores, ending the quarter with a 42-6 lead. Veshon Malone tacked on one more touchdown for North Wood in the final period on a nine-yard run, his second score of the night, for the final 49-6 margin. Northwood rushed for 350 yards, led by Yoder's 219 yards and three scores. Nate Newcomer chipped in with 49 yards on just seven carriers.
