The September program is a Legacy Family Tree Webinar: Why are Irish Records So Weird? by John Grenham. Not all Irisn records were destroyed in 1922, but the burning of the Public Record Office in that year did leave an immense gap. This talk will unravel the ways in which marginal records have become essential for Irish research, and the peculiarities in using them online. Saturday, October 14 in the Home and Family Arts Building, located on the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds. Each participant will receive a booklet with all of the instructions and recipes. The cost is $5 per person, payable at the door. The program begins with sharing ideas from the fall season. Homemakers will demonstrate various crafts. There will be a segment of the program about foods made with fall fruits and vegetables such as apples, squash, pumpkins, and more. Committee members organizing the event are Kimberly McCreary, Joellen Allison, Ramona Huber, Beth Philips, Ashley Witmer, and Extension Educator Mary Ann Lienhart Cross.
