Photo by Dale Tobias The Rangers of the Nappanee Youth Baseball League were victorious over the Mets in an exciting championship game that took place this past week, with the Rangers securing the win in a 15-14 extra inning finish. The Rangers ended their season with a 10-1 record. Canvas Painting at the Wakarusa Public Library will take place on Thursday, July 12 at 6:30 p.m. Class participants will join the instructor as they paint "Sunset Over Lake Michigan." The second class, to be held on Monday, July 16, will have class members painting "Sweet Serenity" at 6:30 p.m. Both classes are free d{ charge and require prior registration. American Red Cross in need of donations
The American Red Cross Bloodmobile was in Bremen on Wednesday, June 27 at St. Isidore Hall. Collection of 62 units of blood was made, which has the potential of saving 180 lives. Each unit can be used to save up to three different individuals. Hats off to Toni Keller, who reached her 10 gallon goal and to the four first time donors. Healthy snacks for the donors and brunch for the Red Cross workers and volunteers was provided
