Girls basketball LADY PANTHERS HANDLE MEMORIAL North Wood's girls basketball team handed visiting Elkhart Memorial a convincing 51-31 loss on Friday. Riley Hershberger and Kenzie Bergman finished with 16 and 14 points, respectively, to pace the Lady Panthers. Savannah Feenstra scored six points, and Nicole Flickinger and Taitlyn Trenshaw each scored five for North Wood, which improved to 8-2 overall with a 2-0 Northern Lakes Conference start. Ben Vincent led a well-balanced scoring attack with eight points, while Nate Newcomer added seven. Tanner Feenstra scored six, and Jon Cripe and Nick Lechlitner scored five each. NORTHWOOD BTH CLOSES REGULAR SEASON NorthWood's.eighth grade basketball team closed out the regular season with a 45-33 win over Concord Dec. 5. Leading the way for the Panthers was Nate Newcomer with 14 points. Ben Vincent added 11 and Colin Glick 10. Nick Lechlitner scored six. Kemp pulled downed six rebounds and tallied three blocks. Glick also had six rebounds and Newcomer four. The team closed the regular season with a record of 14-1.
