Wakarusa Public Library BOOK Bins Book Bites is an informal story hour that will take place in the Children's Room of the library Jan. 28 at 10:15 a.m. Children will hear "The Mitten" by Jim Aylesworth, and complete an activity or a craft. No registration is required for this event. STORY HOUR Story Hour children will hear a story about being sick, "A Sick Day for Amos McGee" by Philip Stead, on Feb. 1 and Feb. 2 at 10:15 a.m. The sessions are for children ages 3-5 years old who are registered for the program. Beginning Story Hour, ages 18-36 months, will hear stories and develop their play skills with boxes, blankets, and bears, oh my! On Feb. 3, at 10 a.m., registered children will enjoy a craft or an activity, and will hear "What Is in the Box?" by Eom Mi-Rang. "George Washington and the Cherry Tree" is currently running on our Dial-A-Story Line at 574-862-4441. Callers will hear a retelling of the famed childhood incident.
