Softball NORTHWOOD BEATS WAWASEE North Wood's softball team plated three runs in the bottom of the second inning and held on for a 3-1 win over NLC foe Wawasee in a recent game in Nappanee. Allie Mattingly finished with two hits and two RBIs. Emily Schrock and Claire McGuire also finished with hits, and McGuire batted in a run. Seventh grade boys track NORTHWOOD 7TH BEATS GOSHEN The North Wood seventh grade boys track team beat Goshen on a brisk, cloudy afternoon 52-48 to move to 2-1 on the year. Dawson Maugel was second in the hurdles, Bronson Yoder won the 200 and was second in the 100, Maruida Lomeli was tops in the 400, Lucas Aukerman, Nick Bean, Landon Parker and Yoder won the 400-meter relay. Nate Stichter took second in the discus, Braden Mikel took second in the shot put, Parker was second in the long jump, and Yoder won the high jump.

Luke Lingle won first place in the hurdles and Dawson Maugel finished thin!. Yoder won the 100, and Nick Beam placed second. Yoder also won the 400. Lucas Aukerman won the 1600, and Nic Bontragn linid North Wood's 16.00 relay team of Aukerman, Luke Lingle, Maugel apd Braden - their race. Kyle Luster finished third in the discus. Landon Parker won the long jump, Bean was third. Yoder won the high jump and Mauricid Lomeli placed second.
