The following incidents have been reported by officers of the Marshall and Elkhart County Sheriff's Departments: INCIDENTS April 22, 6:28 p.m., Treesa Manns, 19, reported that her brother grabbed her and threw her to the ground causing her to dislocate her shoulder while at her residence in Nappanee. Manns received treatment at Goshen Hospital for her injuries. April 21, 8:45 p.m., a 17- male was found to have illegally consumed an alcoholic beverage near CR 54 in Nappanee. He was released to his parents. 18- Shelby Stahly was found to be illegally in possession of an alcoholic beverage. April 25, 11:40 p.m. Johnny Alderman, Nappanee, was stopped on US 6, east of Jackson Street, for a traffic violation. Alderman failed field sobriety tests and had a certified chemical breath test with a result of .08 percent BAC at 12:27 a.m. and was incarcerated

Mikel played Theme from Hungarian Dance No. 5 in G minor, by Johannes Brahms, arranged by James Bastien. Nappanee resident Samantha Loucks, a senior majoring in Journalism and Mass Communication at Bob Jones University in Greenville and a member of the studenKijewspaper staff, was awarded the First Place - Award during the recent South Carolina Press Association Collegiate meeting held at Clemson University. The Collegian,, BJU's student newspaper, was honored in its division with 12 awards: four first place awards, six second place awards, one third place award and one honorable mention. The Collegian's Facebook page was awarded second place in an open category (all colleges participated regardless of size). Additionally The Collegian placed second in the overall category of General Excellence among colleges and universities with under 5,000 students in South Carolina.
