BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETMGAT NAPPANEE ÜBRARY NAPPANEE The Board of Trustees of the Nappanee Public Library will meet in regular session at 7 a.m. Thursday March 20 at 157 North Main Street. The public is invited to attend. MARCH LEGO CLUB MEERNG Nappanee, Ind.—The next meeting of the Nappanee Public Library Lego Club is scheduled for March 20. Kids ages five and up are invited to take part in age-group-appropriate challenges and free building time on the third Thursday of every month at the Library from 6:30 - 8 p.m. This month's building challenge is "March Madness." No registration is required, and parents are welcome to stay and participate. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult, and all materials will be provided. NAPPANEE ÜBRARY SCIENCE CLUB Learn to write with lemon juice ink, shoot a potato gun and electrify a pickle at the next meeting of the Super Science Saturday Club at the Nappanee Public Library at 10 a.m. March 22. Kids will meet at the library for this session of "Salad Science." This program for curious kids in first through fifth grade is led by Nappanee Public Library Volunteer, Jim Myers, and meets at the Nappanee Public Library monthly during the school year.
STORY HOUR - HH - A craft or activity will take place during the Story Hour time on 10:15 a.m. March 24 and March 25. Participants will hear a story about a woodpecker. Registration is required for children ages three to five years of age. BOOK BITES An informal story time will be held on 10:15 a.m. March 26 and March 27. Book Bites, will take place for children ages three to five years. This event takes place in the children's area and includes a story, an activity or a craft. It is not necessary to register to attend. RAILROAD BOOK PRESENTAIION "Railroading on the Wabash Fourth District" by Victor Baird will be available for purchase on March 20 at the Wakarusa Library. AMERICAN GIRLS MEET AT NAPPANEE PUBUC ÜBRARY Make a kitchen apron for a doll at the next meeting of the American Girls Club at the Nappanee Public Library. Girls in first and second grade will meet on Monday, March 24, and those in third through fifth grade will meet on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Both activites are from 7-8 p.m. The American Girls dub meets once a month at the library during the school year to learn about girls in American history and share other activities such as tea parties, sleepovers, and community service projects. FRIENDS OF THE ÜBRARY March is Friends of the Wakarusa Library Membership Month. The Friends of the Library is a volunteer group that advocates and assists the Wakarusa Library. This group is seeking new members and collecting membership donations to support their work. Forms are available at the front desk. DIAL-A-STORY Ireland will be highlighted in the Dial A Story selection for this week. "Saint Patrick's Day" will be the feature selection and will tell the story of how this become a holiday and why it is celebrated. Hear this tale at 574-862-4111.

Wa-Nee Waves swimmers compete in qualifications meet NAPPANEE The Wa-Nee Waves Divisional Team competed March 7 thorugh March 9at Helen P. Brown Natatorium in Fort Wayne. The following swimmers competed in this qualification meet: Madi Baker-Ott, Paige Barrett, Drew Flidanger, Kennedy Hochstetler, File Jansen, Kate Jarvis, Jamie Mcßride, Nate Nunemaker, Elle Roberts, and Megan Stankovich. Several swimmers qualified to swim in the Finals heats. Madi Baker-Ott finished 11th in the 500 yard freestyle and ninth in the 100 yard breast stroke finals heats. Elle Jansen finished 16th in the 500 freestyle finals heat. Kate Jarvis finished seventh in the 500 freestyle and 11th in the 200 yard freestyle finals heats. Jamie Mcßride finished seventh in die 100 yard breast stroke and eighth in the 200 individual medley finals heats. Nate Nunemaker finished 11th in the 500 yard freestyle and 12th in the 200 yard freestyle finals heats. Megan Stankovich finished 12th in the 400 yard individual medley and 16th in the 200 yard backstroke finals heats. The Waves Divisional team was coached by Mike Jansen and Brooke Raster. The team would like to thank their coaches for a great season. Hie Wa-Nee Waves will celebrate the season with the entire team at their year-end banquet on March 20.
