Service, Inc, in the amount of $18,219. Schwartz Electric, Inc. submitted the second proposal, for a cost of $22,500, plus a possible SBSO additional fee if extra conduit needs to be installed. The council advised Flickinger to consult further with professionals to find out if die siren was, in fact, damaged, or if it is no longer working due to other factors. That would determine the proper course of action as to how funds must be obtained for repair. Clerk-Treasurer Joyce Hartman intercepted with the revelation that if it does need a full replacement, additional appropriations would be necessary. The council opted to table me issue until Flickinger can report back with his findings. MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT The council approved a mutual aid agreement between Elkhart County Department of Emergency Management and the Town of Wakarusa, which aligns the two organizations if there should ever become a need for crisis services, such as natural disasters. This is an ongoing agreement, which periodically comes around for renewal. TOWN MANAGER CONTRACT Validation of the contract for Town Manager Jeff Troxel took place. It is retroactive to Aug. 1, 2013 and continues until Dec. of 2015. COMMUNITY BENEFITS FUNDING There was an establishment of an endowment fund for the Town of Wakarusa will enable monetary contributions to be placed into a separate account for the purpose of memorial funds and the like, or any donations specifically earmarked to benefit the community. The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Wakarusa Town Council will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 1 at Wakarusa Town Hall, 100 West Waterford Street. Calendar, from front $5 per person. Children under five eat free with parents. Tickets can be purchased in advance from any Kiwanis member. Tickets are also available at the door. All proceeds from the Spaghetti Dinner will benefit the Bremen Boys and Girls Club. CLUB SELLING COOKBOOKS BREMEN The Boys and Girls Qub of Bremen is selling cookbooks made by club members for sls each. They are also selling raffle tickets for an iPad Air. Tickets are one dollar each. The winner will be announcing the winner at the "Up" with Kids Event on March 22. Patrons may purchase tickets and cookbooks by stopping at club between 2:30 p.m. or by calling 574-248-0032. 1 .

NAPPANEE - The Nappanee Street Department would like to ask town residents to put odd-sized trash items on the curb by 6 a.m. starting April 28. The collection is expected to take place for just one week. Each neighborhood will be canvassed only one time. Odd-sized trash will consist of furniture, appliances, carpet, car parts, downspouts, television antennas, garage doors, windows, mattresses and bum barrels. Losch hosting conference series
NAPPANEE "Bringing God's Love to Life" is the theme of Living Gospel's Mission Conference on March 20 and March 23. The church is located at 302 W. Walnut Street, Nappanee. The conference will open at 6 p.m. March 20 with a meal and time of fellowship. On March 21 and 22 the services will begin at 7 p.m. Special events include a brunch Saturday at 10 a.m. when veteran missionary Bing Hare with New Tribes Mission will speak, and a youth meeting at 3 p.m. when Cornel Bucur from Romania will speak. The service on the March 23 begins at 9:30 a.m. when several missionaries will be interviewed, followed by a 10:30 a.m. worship service. A carry-in meal after the service will conclude the conference. The conference speaker will be Dale Losch, President of Crossworld, Kansas City, MO. STORY HOUR WAKARUSA - Children attending Story Hour at 10:15 a.m. March 17 and March 18 will hear a story about a lost bird. An opportunity will be given to participate in a memory game. The program will be held on Wed. mornings at 10 a.m. beginning April 16,. Children will hear a story, do an activity, finger play, and more with the aid of their accompanying adult.
