Clarence L. Mishler Nov. 7,1917—N0v. 22, 2012 NAPPANEE—CIarence L. Mishler; 95, Nappanee, former-

ly of New Pahs, died at 4 JO ajn. Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was bom Nov. 7,1917 in New Paris to Lloyd E. and Mary Eva (Sheets) Mishler. He married Erma L (Miller) Mishler Sept 28, 1939 in Wakarusa and she died April 27, 1987, then he married Elma (Frazen) Noffsinger Mishler Sept. 4, 1993 and she died Nov. 12,2004.

Surviving are a daughter, Nancy (Flawn) Sailor, Elkhart; soa Thomas A. (Nancy) Mishler, Nappanee; stepsons, Larry (Gaye) Noffsinger, Centerville, Ohio and Don (Carol) Noffeinger, Tipp Gty, Ohio; six grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; three stepgrandchildrea and seven step-great-granchildren. Preceding him in death is a brother, Gerald Mishler. Garence was a 1936 graduate of New Paris High School; a founding member of Gideons International, Nappanee Camp; member of Union Center Church of the Brethren, serving as deacon for 57 years and was a State Farm Agent for 45 years in Goshen, retiring in 2004. Visitation was 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday Nov. 25, 2012 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St, Goshen, and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. service Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at Union Center Church of the Brethren, Nappanee. Pastor James Davis and Pastor Larry Fourman officiated and burial is in Union Center Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Union Center Church of the Brethren or Gideons International. POLICE NOTES INCIDENTS One sited following accident NAPPANEE A Leesburg woman was cited for causing an accident that took place at U.S. 6 and C.R. 11 Wednesday afternoon. At 3:38 p.m. Anne Speicher, 78, was in a 1997 Cadillac Deville stopped on C.R. 11 at U.S. 6 when she pulled into the path of Spencer Swihart, 17, New Paris, who was driving a 2000 Jeep Wrangler west on U.S. 6 east of C.R. 11 Speicher was not injured but a Swihart received minor injuries, bleeding from the forehead and was taken to Elkhart General Hospital. His passenger, 16-year-old female was also taken to the hospital for a bleeding forehead. Speicher was cited for not yielding the right-of-way. Deputies asking for assistance with robberies GOSHEN Elkhart County Sheriffs Deputies are asking for the public's help in identifying suspects who were involved in two separate robberies that occurred early last Wednesday morning outside of Nappanee. At approximately 4:40 a.m. Nov. 21, two male suspects in a light colored passenger car confronted Merle Miller, 29, who was riding his bicycle on C.R. 54 east of C.R. 9. The suspects (ages 20 to 30) pointed a long rifle at Miller and demanded money from him. After Merle rode away from the suspects, the suspects were not able to obtain money from him and left headed eastbound on C.R. 54 in their vehicle. At approximately 7 a.m. on C.R. 9 north of C.R. 38, two male suspects and a vehicle similar to the one described in the first incident, approached Nelson Martin, 21, who was riding his bicycle on C.R. 9 north of C.R. 38. After confronting and demanding money from Martin, the suspects obtained an undetermined amount of money from him and left the area in the suspect vehicle headed south on C.R. 9. If anyone has information about these crimes or the suspects involved, they are asked to contact the Elkhart County Sheriffs Department at 574-533-4151. Accident leads to fatality GOSHEN A Nappanee man died from his injuries caused by an accident in Elkhart County. Nov. 20 at 6:47 on County Road 5011 miles east of Goshen, a Jeep Liberty driven by an unknown driver was passing a buggy and struck a moped. The moped driver, Jeremy Yates, 20, Nappanee, was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Passengers in the SUV, William Perry, 20, Goshen, and Randall Purtell, 20, Milford, were not wearing seatbelts and were taken to a nearby hospital for their injuries. Another passenger, Melissa Yoder, 28, Ligonier, was wearing a seatbelt and was taken to the hospital for back pain. ARRESTS • Josh L. Vannoster, 21, Nappanee, was arrested Nov. 18 by the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. • Victor J. Cummings, 29, Nappanee, was arrested Nov. 20 by the Nappanee Police Department for possession of a knife that opens automatically and possession of a Schedule I or Schedule 11, Schedule HI, or Schedule IV controlled substance.

Erika Lyn Beachy Nov. 23, 2012 NAPPANEE —Erika Lyn (Seiner) Beachy, 27, of Nappanee died unexpectedly of natural causes at 7:05 p.m, Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 at St. Vincent's Hospital Cardiac Care Unit, Indianapolis. Surviving is her husband, Ervin; children, Mckynzie Renee Wingfield and Ethan Andrew Seiner both at home; mother and stepfather, Sonya and Steve Stanage, Elkhart; brothers, Timothy Seiner, Indianapolis, and Benjamin Seiner, Elkhart; grandparents: Tom and Dixie Russell, Elkhart, Jim and Jan Seiner, Edwardsburg, Mich., John and Cathy Albert, Arizona; grandmother; Kay Seiner, Elkhart; great-grand-mother, Betty Severs, New Paris; mother and father-in-law, Anna and Ken Beachy, Wakarusa; sisters-in-law, Angela (Ryan) Mattem and Staria Beachy, both of Wakarusa; and brother-in-law, Kenny (Allison) Maust, Nappanee. Visitation was Monday, 2 to 4 p.m. at ThompsonLengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, followed by funeral services at 4 p.m. Burial is in Stony Point Cemetery. The 4-H youth joined members of the Elkhart County Farm Bureau Incorporated board for dinner in the restaurant barn and then attended the evening’s performance of “Miracle on 34th Street." Bert Egging, President, Elkhart County Farm Bureau, Incorporated, served as host for the evening. 4-H members who are in grades 10 through 12 were invited to apply for the trip. Participants are selected based on their accomplishments, tenure, and service in the 4-H program. Winners selected for the trip were: Andrew Berkey, Bristol; Sabrina Childers, Goshen; Spencer Culp, Nappanee; Laura Dickey, Goshen; Jennifer Fry, Middlebury; Jessica Fry, Middlebury; Grant Frye, Middlebury; Aaron Johnson, Goshen; Brock Neff, Goshen; Savanna Ponce, Goshen; John Trenshaw, Goshen; and Julia Tyson, Goshen. Extension Educator Laurie Sula served as chaperone. Elkhart County Farm Bureau Incorporated donated the funds to pay for the trip.
