By Angel Perkins Etmon NAPPANEE Nap-panee, the name Kountry Wood is synonymous with quality through the building of quality cabinets for a fair price and its customer satisfaction. Kountry Wood Products has been manufacturing wholesale stock kitchen and bathroom cabinetry in Nappanee since 1998 and its representatives have been making quality relationships by building a strong reputation far and wide. Its product line features numerous cabinet modules in a number of styles and finishes to please a variety of decor tastes, and offers many upgrades in material and design as well as functional options to satisfy an array of customer and builder preferences. Because the cabinets and other wood pieces manufactured are built by hand, customers can be assured their product will be free of any material or manufacturing defects as trained craftsmen do the creating, assembling, staining and finishing as well as packaging die end product. However as a wholesaler, die company, (Kountry Wood) had

difficulty in finding a local dealer that could buy its product line in volume. Therefore, in 2009, Kountry Cabinets was established to allow the local community the opportunity to purchase a kitchen-at-a-time. After focusing on selling cabinetry for two years, Kountry Cabinets moved to its current location (252 W. Market St. in Nappanee the former Liz's Furniture building) and expanded its product line to include handcrafted furniture, lighting, flooring, bathroom fixtures, home d&or and gifts. The 25,000-square-foot showroom features numerous kitchen and bathroom displays in oak, maple and cherry, along with dinette sets, hutches, bookcases, bed-

room suites and office furniture, which are all manufactured by Borkholder Furniture and carry a lifetime warranty. Kountry Cabinets will also soon offer sofa's and upholstered chairs to its customers. "I believe in this community and wanted to grow the cabinetry business to offer other products, such as the furniture, to compete against foreign competition," said Ola Yoder, owner of the three respective businesses. "Our cabinetry and our furniture line are made in the USA, mostly in the Nappanee area, but throughout the Midwest, as well." The cabinetry is a stock product, which means that it can only be purchased in pre-deter-

mined dimensions (not custom sizes), but can be given a customized look with the addition of accessories, molding and trim. In two to three weeks working with several local contractors the business can handle the tear-out of old and placement of new cabinetry.
