Movie, from front
Thompson said. "We've also invited the chamber to this movie as a thank you for all the chamber members do for Nappanee, with little credit. Seniors are invited, as many of them never have a chance or can't afford going to the movies. Our seniors are the ones who worked so hard to make Nappanee this way for our children and grandchildren." Thompson alluded to that appreciation as the theatre lights dimmed before the show, sharing a touch of gentle humor with older members of the audience. He thanked those in attendance for their efforts, "before us young folks came along and took over." "Linda and I have owned the funeral home here now for 30 years and I've been mayor for over half those years," Thompson observed. "We love Nappanee and its people, we think the future is bright, and we hope to be part of it for many more years to come. This is a very small way to say thank you!" ,
