OBITUARIES
Lois Troup Haney April 1, 1921 Sept. 3, 2012 THE WOODLANDS, Texas Lois Geneva Muntz was bom in Elkhart April 1, 1921. Her family then moved to
bjappanee where Lois graduated high school in 1940 and married Oren Troup in 1942 (WWII decorated veteran). For 28 years she and her husband owned and operated Oren W. Troup, Inc., a US Mail Contracting Company in Ann Arbor, Mich. After Mr. Troup's death in 1972, Lois continued to run the business and married Eldon Haney in 1975. After selling the company, The Haneys moved to Bradenton, Fla. where they were active residents at Mt. Vernon, a
retirement community on Sarasota Bay. She was widowed in 1992, but stayed busy with travel, painting, bridge and bingo. In 2006, Mrs. Haney moved to The Forum Retirement Community in The Woodlands, Texas, and continued playing bingo. Lois passed away Sept. 3, 2012. She leaves her only surviving child, jan M. Troup (Ellen) of The Woodlands, Texas. Also, sisters-in-law Jean Muntz (Bradenton, Fla.) and Gloria Mason (Ron) (Nappanee) plus nieces and nephews from first, second and third generations. Services were held at Washtenong Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Ann Arbor, Mich., Sept. 11, 2012, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to VVestside United Methodist Church in Ann Arbor. If there is bingo in Heaven, Lois will be there. POLICE NOTES INCIDENTS One cited after accident WAKARUSA A Goshen woman was cited for failing to give the right-of-way in Wakarusa Friday evening. At 5:44 p.m. Amanda Butler, 28, Goshen, was driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am south on C.R. 9 at the same time Jerry Burt Jr., 4 Q , Goshen, was driving a 2005 Ford Econoline west on C.R. 36. Butler failed to stop at the stop sign and Burt hit her on the driver's side. Butler was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and was cited for

Marvin D. Hostetler Sept. 9, 1955 —Aug. 8, 2012 WEST DES MOINES, lowa - Marvin D. Hostetler, 56, of West Des Moines, lowa, died peacefully joining his Savior, Jesus Christ, in heaven above Aug. 8,2012. During his illness with pancreatic cancer, he was surrounded by family and friends. Marvin was bom Sept. 9,1955, in Ary, Ky. to Dorothy and Sam Hostetler. He graduated from North Wood High School, Hesston College, Goshen College and also Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary. May 28, 1983, Marvin married Donnita Payne at Pulaski Mennonite Church in Pulaski, lowa. Together they copastored First Mennonite Church in Lincoln, Neb. He also pastored churches in Omaha, Neb., Wichita, Kan., Wellman, lowa and Donnellson, lowa. Marvin is survived by Donnita, his wife; Rachel Sterling, daughter; Josh, son; and Luke Sterling, grandson, all of West Des Moines. He is survived by his siblings, Don (Ruth) Hostetler, Goshen; Deloris (Clifford) Zehr, St. Johns, Mich.; Glen (Julie) Hostetler, Wakarusa; Gerald Hostetler, Louisville, Ky.; Deb Hochstetler, Bremen; Willie (Kim) Hostetler, Elkhart, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Dorothy Hostetler, and Ronald Zehr, nephew. Marvin will be deeply missed by his family and friends but we rejoice in the reality that his Savior, Jesus Christ, welcomed him into God's presence for eternity. Driver deceased after rollover NAPPANEE A 33-year-old Goshen woman died Saturday evening after losing control of her vehicle on U.S. 6, 12 miles east of the city limits of Nappanee. Chandra Fernandez, Goshen, was driving a 19% Chevy Lumina van east on U.S. 6 just east of C.R. 23 at 6:06 p.m. when she ran off the north side of the road. Lois Wisler Sept. 5, 2012 WAKARUSA Lois Wisler, 81, of Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa, died at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 at Miller's Merry Manor. Surviving are a daughter, Janene (Brad) Blosser, Nappanee; son, Jeff (Peg) Wisler, New Paris; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sisters: Maxine (Bob) Sharp, Minnesota, Bonnie Ressler, Nappanee, and Marge Stump, Alabama. Visitation was from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa and one hour prior to die funeral service which was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
