The classmates were also invited to attend the annual Nappanee High School Reunion held Saturday at Dal Mar Catering hall. Sunday many of them had a roast pork picnic at Nappanee Airport. POLICE NOTES INCIDENTS Items stolen from residence in Nappanee NAPPANEE A man reported Aug. 19 that between 8:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. an antique organ, bow and arrows, and $45 in cash were stolen from his home in the 70000 block of C.R. 11 in Nappanee. There was no forced entry into the home. One treated at hospital after car/bike accident on U.S. 6 NAPPANEE - One man was taken to a hospital after a car hit the rear-end of his bicycle early Wednesday morning (Aug. 22). At 5:03 a.m. Dion Beadin, 29, South Bend, was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am east on U.S. 6 west of C.R. 100 in Nappanee when it collided with the bicycle ridden by Josey Slabaugh, 21, Nappanee, which was traveling in the same direction. Slabaugh was taken to Memonal Hospital South Bend for complaints of pain and other injuries. Beadin reported no injuries but his vehicle received windshield damage on the right side. She is survived by her husband, Robert J.; a daughter, Kathy (Dave) Yoder of Wakarusa; sons, Robert (Vonda) Bedward Jr. and Ron (Nelda) Bedward, both of Nappanee; and six grandchildren. Visitation is at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31 and for one hour before funeral services which will be at Bible Baptist Church Saturday, Sept. 1 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Olive West Cemetery. Surviving are daughters: Paula Nolan, Janei Pickens, and Antoinette Keys, all of Nappanee, and Ronda (Eddie) Carter of Plymouth; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four sisters.
