Martha L. Elston Jan. 18, 2012 AVlLLA—Martha L. Elston, 80, of Avilla, died Wednesday, Jaa 18,2012 at Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. Surviving are six daughters and five sons-in-law: Charlotte (Gary) Minnick of Evansville, Patricia (Greg) Marshall of Brandon, Fla., Deborah Elston of Momence, 111., Pamela (Bob) Parisher of San Antonio, Texas, Theresa (Brett) Master of Panama City, Fla., and Sheila (Bruce) Okeley of Wolcottville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dean (Helen) Elston of Bremen and Tun Elston of Plymouth; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters: Ann Olson of Bourbonnais, 111., Linda Allen and Janet Swagert both of St. Pete, Fla.; and five brothers, Clarence Wicker of Lebonan, Mo., Jim Wicker of St. Pete, Fla., Harold Wicker of Lancaster, Ohio, Doug Wicker of Winchester, and Don Wicker of Wheatfield. Service was held Sunday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange. Visitation was held from 12:30 until service time. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society. Condolences may be left for the family at www.fruripmayfuneralhome.com. ' * Melvin Leroy Ingle Jan. 17. 2012 NAPPANEE Melvin Leroy Ingle, 83, S. Jackson St. Nappanee, died Tuesday, Jan. 17,2012 at 1:47 a.m. at LuAnn Nursing Home. He is survived by his wife, Marian Rosalie; daughter, Debra (Wade) Krull, Nappanee; sons Gary (Deb) Ingle, Mesa, Ariz., and Bruce Ingle, Nappanee; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation was Friday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to the funeral service, which took place Saturday, at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home. Burial is at Union Center Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences may be shared at www.tlfyh.com.

INCIDENTS Driver taken to hospital for broken leg, pelvis HARRISON A driver of a 2003 Kia Optima was taken to the hospital for pelvis and lower leg fractures after an accident he was in Jan. 17 at the intersection of C.R. 7 and C.R. 40 iti Harrison, a mile from downtown Wakarusa. Kevin Rittenour, 24, Elkhart, had been stopped at the stop sign on C.R. 7 at C.R. 40 facing south and pulled into the path of,David Ross, Goshen, driving a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country west on C.R. 20. Ross said he was unable to prevent the accident and Rittenour said he had not seen Ross' vehicle. The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department was on the scene and Rittenour was cited for not yielding the right of way. Hit and run driver sought NAPPANEE Police are investigating a hit and run accident that took place on CR. 46 west of C.R. 9. At 4:16 p.m. Jan. 19 Lynn Troyer, 36, reported that the buggy his daughter
