mi David J. Johns June 14, 1925 - Jan. 3, 2012 GOSHEN David J. Johns, 86, Goshen, died at 1:55 ajn. Tuesday, Jan. 3,2012. He was bom June 14,1925 in Canton, Ohio, to Ohs Nathan and Margaret (Rickert) Johns. He married Phyllis (Buzzard) Johns March 21, 1948 and she died June 14, 2000. Surviving are a daughter, Mary J. ?%£s% M Johns, Goshen; sons, Terry L. Johns, Goshen and Greg A. Johns, Spring HnUi| Wt tj Lake, Mich.; sister, Lois (Glenn) Yoder, Goshen; five grandchildren; and five! great-grandchildren. Preceding him in ■ death are his wife and sisters, Gladys |Ej \ SH’ i Krabill and Velma Miller. Mr. Johns retired as senior vice president of the former Salem Bank in January, 1989 and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Goshen. Visitation was noon to 2 p.m. Saturday Jan. 7, 2012 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, where the service followed at 2 p.m. Pastor Jim Shrock of the First Baptist Church officiated. Burial is in Violett Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Goldie; daughters: Lola (Gary) Shepherd, Walkerton, Kiturah (Mike) Mishler, Bremen, Mary (Steve) Reidenbach, Bremen, Annette (Steve) Myers, Asheboro, N.C., Jackie (Charles "Buzz") Thompson, Bremen, and Penny (Glenn) Pike, Bremen; son, Rick (Beth) Weldy, Bremen; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers: Charles, (Lorraine) Weldy, Arvin Weldy, Qeo (June) Weldy, and Cliff Weldy, all of Bremen; and sisters, Blanche (Joe) Urednick, and Eva Hawkins, both of Bremen. Visitation was Monday, Jan. 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. The funeral service was Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m., also at the funeral home. Yoder Jan. 3, 2012 NAPPANEE Melvin H. Yoder, 63, of 2nd B Road, Nappanee, died at 9:38 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012 at his residence. He is survived by sisters: Katie H. Yoder, Nappanee, Mary (Perry N.) Bontrager, Millersburg, and Laura (Bill) McGinnis, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and brothers: Harley (Inez) Yoder, Penns Creek Penn., Elmer (Donna)Yoder, Elkhart, and Marvin (Bertha) Yoder, Madison. Visitation was after 3 p.m. Thursday and all day Friday at the Harvey Borkholder residence (609 2nd B Rd). Funeral services were at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Mervin Miller residence (980 2nd B Rd.) Burial is in Borkholder Cemetery. Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee assisted with the arrangements.
BIRTH RISNER Adam and Anna Risner, New Paris, announce the birth of a son bom Dec. 15, 2011 at 2:55 a.m. at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth. Damien Blake Risner weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 21.25 inches long. He was welcomed home by sibling, Patience M. Risner, 5.
Maternal grandparents are Loss and Kathleen Stacy, North Judson. Paternal grandparents are Norma and Tun Jackson, New Paris, and Ronald Whitaker, Knox.
