~ Uir 1. n mm 7 POLICE NOTES ACTTVTTY 24-year-old arrested on several counts WAKARUSA A 24-year-old man was arrested Dec. 6 after being stopped for a traffic violation on S.R. 19 south of C.R. 26. At 5:35 a.m.,Josiah Hostetler was found to be in possession of methadone and adderall (both controlled substances) He allegedly failed a drug recognition test and was taken to the Elkhart County Jail for operating while intoxicated-refusal and two counts of possession. ARRESTS • Chase T. Anglemyer, 20, was arrested Nov. 29 by the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department for driving while suspended. • Michael F. White, 29, Nappanee, was arrested Dec. 3 by the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department for possession of a controlled substance. • Jacob C. Homan, 37, Nappanee, was arrested Dec. 4 by the Millersburg Police Department for operating while intoxicated. ■ • Ryan J. VanNoster, 24, Nappanee, was arrested Dec. 5 by the Goshen Police Department for operating while intoxicated.
Elkhart County 4-H enrollment available online GOSHEN -H enrollment has gone high tech and Elkhart County 4-H enrollment is now accessible online. Visit the website www.elkhartcounty4h.org and click on the "Enroll in 4-H" indicator on the lefthand side of the screen. The "Enroll in Elkhart County 4-H" page will come up and gives directions on how to complete the online enrollment form by following the screen prompts. A sls non-refundable, State Program Fee is new for 2012 and is due at the time of enrollment for all youth in grades third through twelfth, with a maximum fee of $45 pef family. There is no fee for youth in grades 1 and 2 who are enrolling in Exploring 4-H. All youth in grades first through twelfth who enroll in 4-H are required to complete the Elkhart County 4-H enrollment form on an annual basis. Their 4-H enrollment form must be completed and submitted along with the fee to the Elkhart County Purdue Extension Office by 11:59 p.m. April 15, 2012. More than 150 online 4-H enrollments have already • been completed since the website opened in November. i ] Jonas Kuhns Dec. 7. 2011 Jonas Kuhns, 77, died unexpectedly at 6:28 p.m. Dec 7, 2011 in the Emergency Room at the Community Hospital of Bremen. Christmas musical set for Dec. 17,18 NAPPANEE The Nappanee Missionary Church Worship Choir and NMC Winds will present its 25th annual Christmas musical Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 17 and 18 at 6 p.m. There will also be a cookie reception in the NMC Grand Hall on Saturday only from 5 to 5:45 p.m. This year's musical is entitled "Only Love." Featuring original writing and local musicians and artists, the musical has become a Christmas tradition for many. Local soloists include Tonya Angle and Donna Rohrer of Nappanee, Judy Bomtrager of Syracuse and Alexis Miller of Bourbon. Lonnie Ramer of Goshen and Kim Herbster of Warsaw deliver the dramatic title duet, while two trios offer special variety. Sheryl Gephart of Bourbon, Beth Yoder of Nappanee and Anita Stutzman of New Paris sing "Soli Deo Gloria!" translated only to the glory of God. The three magi are represented by Ken Miller of Bourbon, Jan Yoder of Goshen and Darrel Schwartz of Wakarusa in the contemporary song "Wise Men from the East." The musical is free.
