'EMBRACE THE PACE' HALF MARATHON AND 5K ROAD RUN The Nappanee Apple Festival "Embrace foe Pace" Half Marathon and 5K Road Run will be held Saturday, Sept 17. Race time is 7:30 a.m. with registration beginning at 6 a.m. Runners will depart from Amish Acres located at US. 6 and C.R. 3. Race cost is $45 for foe half marathon and S2O for foe SK. WAVES GOLF OUIMGSEPT. 10 The Wa-Nee Waves will 'be holding its second golf rating Saturday, Sept. 10, starting at 7:30 a an. Cost is $65 perperson or $260 per team. There will be cash and other prizes awarded for foe top three teams. with a 10-minute warm-up on deck, continues with a 30-minute workout in the pool and ends with a 10-mimite cool-down. Participants should wear a swimsuit and bring a towel. If it is necessary to bring children with you, they should sit on foe pod deck while dass is in session.

Registration will continue after Sept 1 however higher rates will apply. Children 14 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Three rides are available: 100 K Lakes Ride, approximately 62 miles; 50K Countryside Tour, approximately a 31-mile ride; 25K Fun Ride (approximately 16 miles). The 100 K and 50K bikers depart between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 aA. The 25K riders will leave between 9 and 10 a.m. All rides begin at Borkholder Dutch Village (a half-mile north of US. 6 on C.R. 101).
