Rohde-Yoder Deborah Ann Rohde, Bremen, and Joshua David Yoder, Wakarusa, announce their engagement to be married May 14, 2011 in Wakarusa. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Roger and Jen Rohde. She is a 2005 graduate of Bremen High School and a 2009 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University. The future groom is the son of Dennis and Shirley Yoder. He is a 2004 graduate of North Wood High School and a 2009 graduate of Purdue University. He is employed with the Boys and Girls Gub of Mishawaka.

State finals competitors Photo submitted Twenty-one North Wood wrestlers in grades K-12 participated in the HYWAY Wrestling State Finals held in Huntington March 27. The top eight place winners qualified to compete in the NUWAY Nationals held at North Central College in Napperville, 111. April 9. North Wood state champions were Kaden Lone, Jake Lone and Michael Leonard. Second-place finishers were Hunter Lechlitner, Payeton Miller, Brady Pittman and Brandon Pittman. Third-place finishers were Nick Lechlitner,Tanner DeMien, Tyler Fitzpatrick, Garrett Griffin and Derek Weldy. Also qualifying for nationals were Austin Shapland, Jason Nolte,.Zac Wilson, Jacob Chupp, Josh Chupp and Spencer Brubacher. WARARUSA The Wakarusa Chamber of Commerce has four new members. S&S Automotive Restoration and Collision, LLC, 66485 SR 19, is owned by Scott Famey and Mark Becker. Goss Melvin and Janice (Fervida) Goss, Nappanee, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner. They were married April 2,1961 by Melvin's father, Charles Goss. The couple has two children, Brenda (Steven) Hochstetler, Bremen, and Roger (Pati) Goss, Wakarusa. They also have two grandchildren, David and Jessica Hochstetler. Melvin is retired from truck driving and farming. Before retiring, Janice was employed at Nappanee Farm Service. They are members of Bible Baptist Church in Wakarusa.

Weldy Walter and Caroline Weldy will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary April 9, 2011 at Tippecanoe Place, Mishawaka, with their children and grandchildren. The couple was married at Wakarusa Missionary Church by Rev. Burchman. Their children are Jeanne (Joseph) Focht, Nappanee; Diane (Kent) Anglemyer, Wakarusa; and Nancy (Doug) McAvoy, Elkhart. They also have six grandchildren: Jessica (Blake) Hawk, Goshen; Hannah (Brandon) Grudda, Mishawaka; Joslynn (Ben) Nehls, Wakarusa; Jill Focht, Nappanee; Chloe Anglemyer, Wakarusa; and Tess Anglemyer, Wakarusa. Walter retired from Lake City Bank, Warsaw. Caroline retired from the Monaco Coach service center, Elkhart.
