Senate backs technology to battle meth
STATEHOUSE wake of recent reports from law enforcement that methamphetamine crime is at an all-time high. Senate legislators voted 46-3 in support of a bill crafted by State Sen. Carlin Yoder (RMiddlebury) providing a new weapon in the fight against the narcotic. Yoder's Senate Bill 503 works to curb the manufacturing of methamphetamine by tracking the statewide sales of cold and allergy medications containing precursors to Ok illegal (hug and preventing purchases exceeding certain limits. "With nearly 1,400 labs being seized last year, it's clear that Indiana is facing an epidemic," Yoder said.
