Biography: I suppose I have been delivered to you in part by the recent recession we have battled for far too many years now. My wife was a victim of mass layoffs at two companies, most recently last year at Caterpillar, Inc. in Peoria, 111. She was fortunate enough to land a job with a medical device manufacturer in Warsaw, which we have called home since last December. Originally from Bloomington, I went to Franklin College right out of high school in 1992. My media career began in 2000 in West Palm Beach,

I worked for Indianapolis' ESPN radio affiliate for two years before getting into the print business at a newspaper in Avon, just west of Indy. There I covered everything from the NFL to Little League, got married and started a family. In August, 2008, my wife took the job with Caterpillar one we thought would last forever. As many have found out recently, such

Thankfully, Maggie Nixon at the Pilot News in Plymouth brought me on as a sports stringer last spring. Now, I'm here to tell your stories. I've been involved in sports journalism my entire career, but I sincerely anticipate learning more about local government and our communities while providing you the best coverage possible. 1 am here to serve you, so if there's something you think we can do better, just let me know. In the meantime, I look forward to meeting more and more of you each day.
