WAKARUSA Todder Time is Oct 27 Toddler Time will be held Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. Participants will hear the story Backyard Banter by Denise Fleming. There will be sharing time during class. Winner’s Circle meets Oct 26 Sylvester and the Magic Pebble by William Steig is the story of a moment in time when the donkey asks his magic pebble to turn him into a rock but then cannot hole the pebble to wish himself back again. This will be the move shown during the Winner's Circle program on Oct. 26 at 3:30 p.m. Students in grades K to 5 may register to participate, the craft is a pebble mosaic to take home.

Feb. 16,1932 - Oct 9, 2010 MISHAWAKA Delores Jean Schlarb, 78, passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 9,2010, in her residence surrounded by her family. Dee was bom Feb. 16,1932, in Mishawaka, as foe daughter of the late Frank and Esther (Sties) Beutter.
On Jan. 3, 1953, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, as Delores Jean Beutter, she married Donald D. Schlarb, who preceded her in death on July 5,2006, with "Dee" at his side. Surviving "Dee" are her loving children: two daughters, Peggy Thornton of Mishawaka and Jeanne (Jeff) Beers of Mishawaka; and a son, Phil (Jody) Schlarb of Mishawaka; five grandchildren, Hailey Thornton,
Jared and Julia Beers, Morgan and Amanda Schlarb; one brother, George (Zuella) Beutter of Mishawaka; and one sister, Lois Meissner-Yoder of Wakarusa. "Dee" and her husband Don where lifelong farmers by trade and stuck with it for the sheer love of farming; "Dee" and Don were foe founder's of Hilltop Farms and Hilltop Trucking. "Dee" was a proud wife, mother, and grammy to her family. "Dee" was a kind and outgoing person; she was always willing to help others. The family would like to say a special THANK YOU to Dr. Jason Marker and Crissy Roush and all foe caregivers who were so helpful and kind to "Dee" during the last couple of years. Your kindness will never be forgotten. The family received friends Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, from 2 to 8 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. Bth Street, Mishawaka. Funeral service took place Thursday, Oct. 14, at 1 p.m., in the funeral home, with Rev. David Porterfield, CSC, officiating. Burial followed at St. John's Cemetery, Woodland. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions be made to the 4-H of Madison Township. Rowe, 67 of 11288 Shady Lane Drive Plymouth, died Wednesday, Oct. 13,2010 at 8:45 p.m. in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after a three-year battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; a daughter, Cheryl A. Rowe of Milwaukee, Wis.; a sister, Gloria Speck of Hebron; a brother, William E. Rowe of Knox; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation took place from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17 at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
