JV football NORTHWOOD SHUT OUT Goshen's JV football team scored single touchdowns in die second and fourth quarters to shut out North Wood 14-0 last Monday. Albert Gongwer recorded a team-high six tackles for the Panthers. Zach Telschow added four tackles, and Brayden Troxel added three tackles and returned a fumble 50 yards for North Wood. PANTHERS WIN North Wood's freshman football team grabbed a 14-12 win at Wawasee last Thursday. Kyle McCoy caught a 32-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ralph McCoy and Connor Bunch returned a fumble 30 yards for a score to lead the Panthers. Bunch also completed a two-point conversion pass to Spencer Swihart. Defensively, the Panthers forced four turnovers interceptions by Kyle McCoy and Tyler Minnich, as well as fumble recoveries by Chandler Sterling and Bunch. Wilmot and Swihart piled up six tackles apiece, followed by Minnich with four stops. Ralph McCoy finished with 20 yards rushing and 49 yards passing for the Panthers (2-3). NORTHWOOD LOSES IN OT North Wood's freshman football team lost a 13-6 overtime heartbreaker to Goshen Thursday. Quarterback Ralph McCoy rushed for 100 yards on 21 carries, including a 1-yard touchdown rim, to lead the Panthers. Brandon Scott rushed for 13 yards and caught an 8-yard pass for North Wood; Connor Bunch picked up 15 yards on the ground; and Tyler Minnich pulled down a 15-yard reception. Nick Wilmot fueled North Wood's defense with 11 tackles, followed by Spencer Swihart with five stops and an interception. Tanner White also racked up five tackles for the Panthers (1-3). Junior high football CONCORD PUTS UP GOOSE EGG AGAINST NORTHWOOD BTH Concord knocked off North Wood 32-0 in an eighth grade football game Thursday. Zach Schwartz was North Wood's leading rusher with 21 yards. Stephen Hettler, Devyn Maugel , and Spencer Wilson made four stops apiece for the Panthers, with Zach Schwartz and Josh Hunting each pitching in three tackles. NORTHWOOD BTH LOSES North Wood’s eighth grade football team lost by a 16-6 count to Concord last Tuesday. Travis Bear rushed for a team-best 77 yards for the Panthers. Dominic Miranda added 62 yards on the ground, headlined by a 25-yard touchdown trot. NORTHWOOD 7TH SUFFERS IST DEFEAT The North Wood seventh grade football team lost its first game of the year to Concord last Tuesday, 14-8. After falling behind 14-0 in the first half, the Panthers got on the board in the third quarter on an 8-yard run by Tanner Cleveland. Connor Miller booted the extra point to pull North Wood within six. With the defense stopping the highpowered Concord offense in the second half, the Panthers offense could not push across another score for a possible win. Cleveland rushed for 109 yards. Jeremiah Hilty led the defense with seven tackles, a fumble recovery, and a blocked punt. Cleveland also had seven hits, while Nick Dillon added five. Hilty and Daikyron Fox both had big hits on the Concord quarterback in the second half. The team's record is now 5 -1. Three (3) new gate valves (2-12 inch and 1 - 8 inch) will be installed, tapping sleeve and valve connections to existing lines and one 8 inch (20 inch steel casing) bored crossing under US-6 and lines to be disconnected from the existing abandoned 4 inch line. These connections will be made at Elm Street, Hartman Street, Summit Street, Jackson Street, Momingside Drive (bore for 8 inch water line and 4 inch TS&V), and Miriam Street. The work will include removal of all side walk along the south side of US-6 and construction of new 6 foot wide sidewalk on the south side of US-6. There is an Alternate Bid Item for an additional 2 feet of sidewalk width from Station 10+64 to 16+08. The sidewalk will be adjacent new curb constructed and constructed under this contract. The INDOT work by others will include construction of handy capped sidewalk ramps at all cross streets. The sidewalk construction under this contract shall be done after the radius curbs and handy capped ramp construction is completed under the INDOT resurfacing project. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the Project shall apply to the Project throughout. Proposals shall be property and completely executed on Indiana Form 96, included in the Specifications. Proposals shall include all information requested by Indiana Form 96 (Revised, 2005). Under Section 111 of Form 96 the Bidder shall submit a financial statement. A copy of the proposed Financial Statement to be submitted with the Bid is included in the Bid Proposal Documents Section of these Specifications. The OWNER may make such investigations as deemed necessary to determine the ability of the Bidder to perform the work, and the Bidder shall furnish to the OWNER all such information and data for this purpose as the OWNER may request. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any Bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of such Bidder fails to satisfy the OWNER that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and to complete the work contemplated therein. Each Bidder is responsible for inspecting the Project site and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Contract Documents, Specifications and Plan Sheets. The failure or omission of any Bidder to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any Bidder from any obligation in respect to its Bid.
